The Public Authority for Industry, in cooperation with Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research, has completed a study of the industrial development path map in State of Kuwait, which is considered a dynamic planning tool. It is characterized by its ability to correct defects resulting from the fixed planning method, and allows for extensive research and discussion among all stakeholders in the industrial sector, thus reaching specific and solid results that avoid the plan from falling into generalities and lack of clarity, which frequently characterizes fixed planning method.
The project aims to develop a roadmap for industrial development in State of Kuwait. Preparing it depended mainly on the distinctive economic conditions of State of Kuwait and its citizens. As the project crystallized a vision for industrial development for the next ten years, setting benchmarks (for best practices), arranging industries and industrial activities according to their priorities, clarifying current and future needs of industries with an optimal distribution of resources, in addition to evaluating, directing and controlling the move towards achieving the objectives of the industrial strategy.
