Management tasks
- Develop plans and programs necessary to support and protect industrial and craft facilities and follow up their implementation after approval and approval by the relevant levels and authorities.
- Follow-up on contracts and agreements concluded for the implementation of government projects and their commitment to use national industry products with standard conditions and specifications.
- Follow-up on the implementation of Cabinet decisions and decisions to support local purchases, and the implementation of customs exemptions decisions related to industrial supplies and products.
- Study requests for customs exemptions for products of industrial and craft establishments and consider extending them.
- Studying the phenomenon of dumping in accordance with the procedures set by the World Trade Organization and international agreements.
- Putting all preventive measures to protect the local industry from the damages of increased imports, dumping or prohibited subsidies.
- Studying and implementing programs and arrangements for encouraging handicraft, heritage and folk industries in light of the unified economic agreement between the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council and similar agreements.
- Issuing customs exemption certificates and coordinating with the General Administration of Customs regarding the application of customs exemption
- Study applications for the qualification of industrial establishments as national origin.
