Commercial Agreement with Lebanon
The Government of State of Kuwait and Government of the Republic of Lebanon, based on the fraternal relations between their two brotherly countries and the distinguished relations they have on all political, social and economic levels, and in implementation of the commercial cooperation agreement signed between the governments of the two countries on January 10, 1996 and what It was stipulated in the third article of the agreement in terms of exemption from customs duties and similar fees with regard to industrial products originating from one of the contracting parties and imported by the other party and that are agreed upon, we agreed on the following:
Article (1)
Industrial products of national origin listed in lists (A) and (B) and agreed upon according to minutes of meeting signed by the Joint Technical Committee in Kuwait on 4/5/1998, shall be exempted from customs duties and similar fees starting from 1/1/1999.
Article (2)
Customs duties and similar fees imposed on the rest of the industrial products of both countries shall be reduced by 25% annually starting from 1/1/1999, including oil sectors, petrochemical, chemical industries, mineral products, non-metallic mining, textiles, clothing, leather products, paper industry, paper products, printing, publishing, food industry, and wood industries.
Article (3)
This agreement is subject to the provisions stipulated in the commercial cooperation agreement signed between the governments of the two countries on January 10, 1996.
